Rubber and Plastic Board (also known as Rubber and Plastic Insulation Board) is a type of thermal insulation material made from rubber and plastic. It has excellent properties such as resistance to cold, heat, fire retardancy, and flexibility, making it widely used for insulating pipes and containers.
The fire safety rating of rubber and plastic insulation boards is relatively high. These boards are characterized by high rigidity, light weight, good thermal insulation, and dimensional stability. Rubber and plastic insulation boards are considered high-quality thermal insulation materials. They are lightweight, have low thermal conductivity, are waterproof with a low water absorption rate, non-combustible, mold-resistant, have high mechanical strength, are easy to process, chemically resistant (except to hydrofluoric acid), non-toxic, and stable in performance. They function both as cooling and heating insulation materials and can withstand temperatures from very low to relatively high ranges.
Furthermore, their key value lies in their long-term durability without degradation, and they also provide fire and vibration protection. These boards are especially useful in extreme environments such as low-temperature deep-freezing, underground engineering, flammable and explosive areas, wet environments, and chemically corrosive conditions. In such harsh conditions, they are not only safe and reliable but also long-lasting, earning the title of “permanent insulation materials that do not need to be replaced.” As a result, they are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, underground engineering, shipbuilding, and defense military insulation and cooling projects.

Features of Rubber and Plastic Insulation Boards:
1. **High Fire Resistance:**
Rubber and plastic insulation boards have fire-resistant properties and will not burn when exposed to fire. Their combustion performance can reach the national Class A standard, with a maximum usable temperature of up to 180°C. The foam structure inside provides good protection.
2. **Good Thermal Insulation:**
These boards provide excellent insulation and heat resistance, with a low thermal conductivity.
3. **High Heat Resistance Duration:**
Rubber and plastic insulation boards have high thermal stability and can be used at temperatures up to 150°C for extended periods.
4. **Corrosion and Aging Resistance:**
These boards can be exposed to sunlight for long periods without significant aging, making them highly resistant to aging and corrosion.
5. **Lightweight with Low Density:**
The density of rubber and plastic insulation boards is generally below 80 kg/m³ and can reach around 50 kg/m³. They are lightweight, easy to handle, and quick to install, improving work efficiency.
6. **Wide Temperature Range:**
The strength of rubber and plastic foam insulation boards remains stable regardless of temperature fluctuations, making them adaptable to a wide range of temperatures.
7. **Excellent Sound Absorption:**
These boards offer excellent sound-absorbing properties, helping to reduce noise levels effectively.
8. **Environmentally Friendly:**
Rubber and plastic insulation boards are environmentally friendly, as they do not pollute the environment.
